I recently saw him at a party and he sent me an email a week later saying it ws good to see me and that I looked amazing. I waited 3 days and then emailed him back a witty, light, funny repsonse and said thank you for the compliment. He then emailed me back just after he got it, about 15 minutes after I sent it.
